Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Nutrition in Bangladesh: Can Building Toilets Affect Children's Growth?

In the rural areas of Bangladesh, where the majority of the population get water from nonpiped sources, it is necessary to initiate practices for safe collection and transportation of water from the community points and then purification and safe storage of water. For the urban areas, where a piped water supply is provided to households, the water needs to be treated to make it drinkable; thus, it is important to promote safe water storage facilities.
